Innovation Center rises in Whitewater University Technology Park
Panoramic View of the Construction

Construction is progressing well as the Innovation Center takes shape as the first building in Whitewater University Technology Park.
Most of the building's structural steel frame is erected and concrete floors have been poured, said Mike Kemp, site superintendent for J.P. Cullen & Sons of Janesville, the general contractor.
"We are very excited about the construction progress on the Whitewater Innovation Center," said Kevin Brunner, Whitewater city manager.  "We are still on schedule to complete the building by the end of this year."
The 38,000-square-foot Innovation Center will be a business incubator for the park, which is a joint project of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, city of Whitewater and the Whitewater Community Development Authority.
The building's first tenant will be CESA 2, the state's largest Cooperative Educational Service Agency.
Construction of the Innovation Center began shortly after a ceremonial groundbreaking April 27 in the 125-acre park on Whitewater's east side.
Whitewater University Technology Park is intended to foster the growth of ideas from researchers into job-creating businesses that boost economic development in the community and the region.
